What is a "Smile Line"?

The smile line is the line that the incisal edges of upper front teeth make. In an attractive smile that line is cohesive with and follows the curve of the lower lip.

When the curve of the edges of the front teeth actually curves the opposite direction of the lower lip it is referred to as a reverse smile line.

This patient is concerned about the appearance of her front teeth. I did the smile simulation below to give her a visual for what her smile could become.

The ability to do simulations like this helps patients get a sense of what their final outcome could be.

This is very much achievable for this patient if she has the courage to make her move. :)
